The piece was cut and hand painted in the tradition that Royal Copenhagen is famous for. These were made in Denmark, prior to the transfer of Royal Copenhagen's production to Thailand. A truly beautiful piece with no repairs, damages or glazing and it is impeccable.
The Royal Copenhagen, officially The Royal Porcelain Factory, is a manufacturer of porcelain products. Founded in Copenhagen on May 1st, 1775 under the protection of Queen Juliane Marie, it is recognized by its distinctive factory mark. Three wavy lines, one above the other symbolizing Denmark's three straights: Oresund, the Great Belt and the Little Belt. One famous collector of Royal Copenhagen porcelain was Baroness Karen Von Blixen, know by her nom de plume, Isak Dinesen author of the book "Out of Africa".
